What a difference a frame makes

One of the most satisfying aspects of framing is holding and viewing the completed job.  When all the components come together to create a finished work, I can’t wait to show it to someone, especially the owner of the art work or object.

A good frame and mount can make a big difference to the artwork by enhancing its presentation.  The objective here is to display the work without overshadowing it with the frame.  I will add a new menu option shortly to display “before and after” of works in original frames and then what can be achieved by mounting and framing.

Another important purpose of the frame is to protect the work.  I will include some examples of the damage that an in-appropriate frame can render to the art and how this may be recoverable in some cases.
